BT - Every Other Way

Christmas came early this year, When almost out of no where, BT released his already partially released single "Every Other Way."

BT previously released the first few minutes of "Every Other Way" as a reward for his fans after challenging them over twitter to get as many hits as they could on his 15 second preview of the song. The full version of this song stands at a whopping 9 minutes and 39 seconds, and i personally never wanted it to end. "Every Other Way" feels like an emotional climax to BT's nearly 18 years of work in the music industry.

"Every Other Way" is a softer tune then what most fans of electronic music have come to expect, but it still incorporates a deep, hard hitting beat on occasion with just the right timing. What sits in the background of this track may very well be some of the most complex ambient work i've ever heard. Interspersed with this beautiful ambiance is the angelic sounding vocals of Jes Brieden. About one third of the way into the song, BT himself joins in the vocals and the song becomes a duet. After another verse you are practically knocked off your feet by a powerful chorus that brings the song to a beautiful and emotional climax.

I am not ashamed to admit that “Every Other Way” is the very first piece of media (this includes movies, video games, etc) to actually put tears in my eyes. I know music tends to hit everybody differently, but for my own personal tastes, i have not heard anything more beautiful then this song. I have a tendency to multi task while listening to music, but whenever i hear this track i just end up sitting and staring into space, it manages to completely steal attention every time i listen to it.

I think regardless of what you listen to, everybody should give this song a chance, i know some may not like it, but for those that will, “Every Other Way” is about as valuable a gem as you can find in the world of music. Brian Transeau has truly blessed us with this amazing track.

Fans of this and his other work should watch out for his next single “Suddenly” on January 12th, and his much anticipated sixth album release “These Hopeful Machines” is due to be on Feb 2nd, 2010. I cannot wait to see what surprises he has in store for us. For the latest updates, follow BT on Twitter

And only since we do not have a graphic made up for “11″…
