I’m not a huge fan of posting rumors, but that’s just about all we’ve got going on in the world of entertainment today. But stay with me, because there are a few confirmed truth’s in here as well. This is an image heavy post, so be prepared for a lot of scrolling!

More Brothers Bloom

First off is a new clip from The Brothers Bloom. Don’t worry, there aren’t any spoilers, it’s just a conversation between Adrien Brody and Rachel Weisz’s characters, and yes, it still looks like the best thing coming out this year.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Posters

Finally something other than a teaser poster has been released, and yes it’s more than the logo on a black background like some kind of horror movie. And what was with that first Transformers trailer anyway? I think Bay has spent a little too much time producing horror remakes. But I digress… these are actually pretty badass:

Optimus Prime

Starscream

Bumble Bee

Sherlock Holmes

USA Today has got a slew of new shots from Guy Ritchie’s upcoming Sherlock Holmes movie. For your convenience, I’ve included a couple here, but be sure to click on over to see even more.

Karate Kid “Remake”

I’ve stumbled on some news that might make you feel better about the new Karate Kid movie. First off, it’s still called Karate Kid, and not Kung-Fu kid (those were just rumors) and second Will Smith looks to be pretty intent on not calling it a remake. So, the basic idea is the same, but now “Daniel” is actually “Dre”, and instead of moving to “California”, he is moving to “China”. The “Mr. Miyagi” of the story is called “Mr. Han”, and is “of course” played by “Jackie” Chan. So I don’t know… it sounds at least interesting I guess.

On to the Rumors!

Superhero Stuff

Bradley Cooper is apparently maybe, sort of in the lead running (among others) who could possible be cast as the Green Lantern. From all the names I’ve heard, ranging from Ryan Gosling to Chris Pine, I’ve got to say Bradley Cooper is the most promising.

A Dead Pool spinoff has kind of mostly been confirmed, with Gambit still being maybe mostly kind of confirmed, but no news as whether or not it’s going to be Ryan Reynolds, and also whether Deadpool is still going to be completely ruined and stupid.

Megan Fox has not turned down the role of Wonder Woman, or rather would have not turned down the role of Wonder Woman, if a Wonder Woman was being made, and if it in fact was being made, had someone asked her to take the part. She only told FHM: “She’s lame. She flies around in an invisible jet, but she’s not invisible. I don’t get it.” That doesn’t necessarily mean that if someone offered her several million dollars to don the ridiculous costume and whip, she would say no, but it kind of seems that way, which is too bad, because that’s the only way I’d be excited about a Wonder Woman movie.

Non Superhero Stuff

Will Ferrell might be doing a movie called Neighborhood Watch which is exactly what it sounds like. I swear there is a think tank somewhere, with a bunch of people throwing out ideas like “Will Ferrell is a cub scout leader!”, “Will Ferrell as a telemarketer!”, “Will Ferrell does whatever we tell him to!”. And as ridiculous and contrived as they all are, I’m always excited for them. Maybe I’m a sucker.

Jessica Szohr, who apparently plays Vanessa, a less than favorable character on Gossip Girls is scheduled to be eaten by fish in Alexandre Aja’s Piranha 3-D. Check out the cast on this thing!

  • Elizabeth Shue
  • Richard Dreyfuss
  • Ving Rhames
  • Adam Scott

And of course, Jessica Szohr, whose “fans” are looking forward to see her play co-ed fish food.

That’s all for now! Be sure to check back later this week, when everything in this post is recanted!

I was never the biggest fan of Green Lantern, but any super hero movie with Kevin Smith touching it is bound to be good!

Actually I think Smith was rumored to be working on Green Hornet, but it eventually went to Goldberg and Rogen, which I think will be awesome! Kevin Smith did do something for a Green Lantern animated movie. The voice I think? Not sure.

I have to say it. I think Sherlock Holmes is going to suck epically. I havent even seen a trailer and I am having doubts. Theres nothing really wrong with the above pictures I just have reservations. I have been a fan of the books since I was a kid and Rocknrolla was a good film, and Robert Downey Jr. is on a hot streak, but there is just something really worrying me. Jude Law is particularly giving me reason for concern. He is good in some things but damn near cardboard in others. Watson has to be this dude who follows Holmes around just being amazed by how awesomely long his dick is, and I dont thing Law is gonna get that. Just saying.

Brothers Bloom is looking better and better. I think Rian Johnson is going to emerge from this new crop of directors [Richard Kelly, David Gordon Green, and John Hillcoat] as the most quietly talented of the bunch.

Wonder Woman was originally going to be directed and written by Joss Whedon about a year ago, but the some douchetard at the studio didnt like his screenplay [probably the same executive who greeenlighted all the Cheaper By the Dozen movies] and canned him in favor of McG, who wanted to cast American Idol chick Katehrine Mcphee in the title role, further proving that he is a robot from the future sent here to turn our brains into mush for the EntertainmentTonight -O- Pacalypse. Give me Megan Fox as Wonder Woman, [there was no invisible jet in Whedon's draft] and the creator of Buffy Summers handling the director job ,and then fill in the cast with some Whedon regulars [ie. Nathan Fillion, Alan Tudyk, and others] and sit back and watch the box office jizz in its pants. God, I hate Hollywood.

OH and FUCK whoever decided to rape Deadpool!

Your right about Will Ferrel. He needs a plot someday, not a situation.

You know, I DO remember talks of Whedon doing Wonder Woman, and I must say, he’s the only director I would allow. Also, and I don’t do this often, but if Megan Fox passed, I would allow one replacement, and that replacement would be Morena Baccarin:

This article prevented me from getting a chair wrapped round my head this morning.

    Thank goodness for Transformers posters!
